Hello students and families!

I grew up in Acushnet and have been teaching art in Acushnet Public Schools for over 20 years.
My favorite things to teach about are famous artists and art history. My favorite art supplies are watercolor pencils and Model Magic Clay.

When I am not in school, I love to illustrate books, paint, sing, read, garden, go to concerts and museums.

I started taking my first art lessons when I was about 10 years old, went to college for art, and still like to study new things even today.
My best advice for my students is to practice drawing all the time. It’s the basis for expressing yourself and planning art works.
Having a sketch book around so you can draw when you are inspired is the first step.
